Ehlert, William Bernard, age 71, of Cleveland passed peacefully on January 16, 2016 while surrounded by family; William is survived in life by Bonnie (nee Pongallo), his beloved wife of 37 years. Devoted son of the late William B. and Florence Ehlert; Dear son-in-law of Tony (Joan-deceased) Pongallo; Loving brother of Jackie (Gil) Steele (both deceased), Shirley (Steve-deceased) Kaspick, Florence Miller, Catherine (Dan) Bartlett, Robert Ehlert (deceased), Laurie (Moe) Gorczyca, and Paul (Barb) Ehlert; Loyal brother-in-law of Bob (Janis) Pongallo and Tanya (Randy) Sherer. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in celebration of William’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd., Brook Park, 44142 on Wednesday January 20th, from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday at Christ United Methodist Church, 3625 West 138th Street, Cleveland. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

bill its your brother thinking of you with such a empty heart and i know that will never be filled to i die and reignight with you again you were so much part of my life because i spent alot of time talking with you and seeing you alot because you only live 2 doors away now my days will be lonely because my best friend has left me love your brother paul rip bonnie i am so sorry for your lost i want you to know that barb and me will be there for anything you need.

Bill you will be missed more than you will every know .you was the best brother in law i could every ask for.and i will miss you in every way .we had a special bond i will never forget the hours of talking and telling jokes.you was a very amazing person i already miss you. Bonnie are hearts goes out to you there are know words to tell you Barb and Paul how sorry we are and we both love you dearly

Our family will never be same without you in our lives. I was truly blessed to have such an amazing man to call my uncle. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I learned a lot from the way you lived your life and loved everyone. Never once in my 46 years have I ever heard you say a bad thing about anyone. You saw the good in everyone and I admired you for that. The world lost a wonderful man and our family lost a piece of our hearts the day you passed away. Uncle Bill you will be forever missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P. I love you.
