Diemert, Stephen O., Jr., age 79 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2012. Loving husband of Carol A. (nee Kresge); Devoted father of Stephen III (deceased) (Cindy), Robert, Laura (Tony) Castenir, Mary Lou (Mike) Coventry and Matthew (Vicki); Dear brother of 8; Cherished grandfather of A.J., Sara, Stephanie, Hanna, Katie and Gary. Great grandfather of Karen, Fallon, and Brucey (deceased); Retired Fireman and member of American Legion Firefighter Post 339.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Steve's life at the Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park, from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday February 29th, where services will be held at 7:30PM.

Grandpa Steve , which we called you by your name a lot because we would hear grandma call you that when we were little. I looked up to you as a father. You did everything or as much as you could for me growing up. It wasn't always easy but, you taught me how to respect how to love how to treat people how grow as the woman I am. You held our family together and I miss you! so much! I dont think a day goes by I don't think of you and now all the family I have in heaven with you. There's things I say or do that just make me think of you and if it weren't for you. You were loved and respected by so many and I was always so proud of the firefighting grandpa I had. So proud! I love you grandpa and I know you are tKing care of everyone up there. I hope one day I will get to see you again!

Carol; Just to let you know, I am remembering you on the anniversary of Steve's death. I can relate since my lifetime love, Sheila passed away on January 10th. Carol & Family, I just heard about Steve passing this morning. I am very sorry for your loss. I cannot make it, Iam leaving this morning for a funeral in WVa. I will never forget when Steve came & picked us up to stay at your house Christmas weekend 1969. He was always so gracious and full of life. God Bless tour family! Dennis Gauntner
