age 62, of Parma Heights, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. Stephan is survived in Life by Cathy, his beloved wife of 33 years, and his parents, Marilyn (James) Frustere. Devoted Father of Adam Sibilski (Danielle Cucuzza), Zach Sibilski, and Emily Sibilski (Andrew Fitzgerald). Loving Brother of Richard Sibilski. Cherished Grandfather of Stevie Nicole Sibilski.

Steve was known for his playful sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He was a natural jokester, never took himself too seriously, and had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome. His warmth, humor, and genuine personality made him someone people enjoyed being around, and those who knew him will always remember the laughter he brought with him. Steve grew up in Bedford Heights, Ohio, and spent the last 33 years making Parma Heights his home, where he and his wife raised their three children. Family was always at the heart of Steve’s life. He loved his wife, Cathy, his sons, Adam and Zachary, his daughter, Emily, and his sweet, precious granddaughter, Stevie, with all his heart and soul. He also treasured his relationships with his mother, stepfather, brother, mother-in-law, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He was known as the crazy, fun-loving uncle, the one who could always make you laugh and bring a little more fun to any gathering. He was happiest when he was surrounded by the people he loved, and his family was his greatest source of pride and joy.

Friends & Community

Steve cared deeply for his friends, co-workers, neighbors, and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He was the kind of friend who was always there to lend a helping hand or simply sit and “shoot the breeze” with. His closest friendships meant the world to him, and some of his favorite memories were made on their infamous Canadian fishing excursions. These friendships were a treasured part of Steve’s life and a source of so much happiness.

Career & Service

Steve dedicated 35 years to nursing, beginning his career at St. Luke’s Hospital and eventually spending the last 14 years of his career serving patients and his community at MetroHealth in Middleburg Heights. Nursing was more than a career for Steve; it was a way for him to care for people and make a difference in their lives. He was also passionate about education and earned a Bachelor of Education degree from Baldwin Wallace University. Whether caring for a patient, educating others, helping a neighbor, or simply taking the time to listen, Steve found meaningful ways to serve those around him. Above all, Steve will be remembered not only for the work he did, but for the way he made people feel, cared for, heard, and valued. His love for his family, devotion to his friends, and genuine care for his community will be part of his legacy forever.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Steve’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park, 44142,  on Thursday, September 10th, from 3-7 PM. Funeral Services will be at Humenik Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 11th at 10:30 AM, followed by the Northeast Ohio Nurse Honor Guard. Inurnment at Woodvale Cemetery.
