age 89 of Brooklyn, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026.

Shirley is preceded in death by her loving parents, Elbin and Frances Thompson.

Devoted Mother of Robert (Cathy) Bunnell, Thomas (Carol) Bunnell, Elbin (Susan) Bunnell, Betty (Terrance-deceased) Lynn, Victoria (Paul-deceased) Harsh, Frances (John-deceased) Uhaly, Bernice (Nick-deceased) Hall, Patricia (Keith) Sapp, Paul (deceased) (Beth) Bunnell, and James (Stacy) Bunnell (both deceased).

Loving Sister of Ronald (Nancy) Thompson (both deceased), Beverly (Deceased) (Paul) Ritchea, Geraldine Adrian (deceased), Delores Downing (deceased), and Sandra (Jim) Willis.

Cherished Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother of many.

Aunt to many nieces and nephews. A devoted friend to all.

Shirley was active in The Salvation Army and a respected leader in their Ladies Home League program there for many years. She also volunteered as an Elementary School Teacher’s Assistant in Lorain.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Shirley’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd Brook Park, 44142 on Tuesday, July 22 from 2-6 PM, where Funeral Services will be at 5:30 PM.

A dinner will follow at the American Legion 19944 Sheldon Road, Brook Park, Ohio 44142.

Interment at West Alexander Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations go to the family for Funeral expenses.
