So saddened by this old friend. Appreciate all the laughs and time we spent together. May the Lord bless and keep your family close during this tragedy. So sorry I couldn't make the viewing. You've been a friend to all who've met you, and we will all miss you dearly! PSALM 46 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble..4There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God...7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge....9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; ...10 Be still, and know that I am God..11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge."
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Knew Sammy since he was Millwright apprentice. He was always a leader and problem solver. Dedicated to his employer and the union. Couldn’t help but like him, so outgoing friendly and helpful. Some days when I saw him I’d say “ here comes trouble” and for some reason something would happen that day, nothing major, just little things. He’d always tell me to quit saying. Lol. It is a loss not only to his family, but to his coworkers, and union brothers as well.

Uncle Sam, You were a great mentor, as well as the best uncle a nephew could ever ask for. As I sit here and think about the wonderful times we shared from playing horse to you teaching me how to throw a ball. You always knew how to put a smile on someone's face. You will be terribly missed. I love you uncle sam.

Sammy the time we knew you wasn't enough. Camping won't be the same without that face there. You were such a genuine person I can't wrap my head around, prolly never will, why it ended so abruptly. You will never be forgotten. To Wendy and the kids. Diana and myself are here for you guys at any time of any day. Stay strong.

i cant even handle this. I dont think a single person could say a bad thing about Sammy. We've been friends for almost 30 years and i can honestly say he's the guy you'd want your daughter to always have in her life (my parents thought so when we were young). He always looked out for me and was always there at the drop of a hat to help me out. I have more memories with Sam than i have with anyone else, I swear, from high school road trips through adulthood... bowling leagues and multiple moves. Hes always been there. Hands down the funniest, most generous guy Ive ever known and I will forever miss his mischeivous laugh. Sammy lit up every room he entered and the world is absolutely a dimmer place without him. Wendy, Im a phone call away, my friend and do not hesitate to reach out. Til we meet again Sammy. All my thoughts and prayers to the entire Quick family. You will always be in my heart. "Hodson"

My Uncle Sam was the best person you could be around. No matter what, he always had a smile on his face. You could be in the worst mood and he would find some way to get a smile out of you. He was a loving stepfather, husband, uncle, brother, son and friend to many.
