Kurka, Ruth G., (nee Geschke) age 83 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2015 while surrounded by family. Ruth is survived in life by George “Jim” her beloved husband of 61 years; Loving mother of Michael J. (Annette), Christopher J. and Thomas J. (Beverly); Beloved sister of the following deceased: Ray, Bob, Jack, Dick, Larry, Billy, Don, Doris and Rosemary; Cherished grandmother of Michael (Sarah), Patrick (Trisha), Valerie (Joe), Roy (Courtney), Krystin and Ryan; Great grandmother of 8; Ruth was a Member of Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association and Ladies Guild Assumption of Mary. As a tribute to Ruth, please dress in purple, her favorite color.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Ruth’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd, Brook Park, on Wednesday May 27, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Rd., Brook Park on Thursday at 10 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
