Abel, Ronald J., age 74 of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2011 while surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of Mary Elizabeth (nee Haberbosch), his beloved wife of 51 years. Loving father of Christopher (Irene). Dear brother of Thom (Huguette), Patricia (Peter) Powers; alsoJames and Robert (both deceased). Cherished grandfather of Michael.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Ronald's life at the Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Wednesday at St. Bridget of Kildare Church, 5620 Hauserman Road, Parma. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, the family suggests contributions to The University of Notre Dame at: Department of Development, 1100 Grace Hall, Notre Dame, IN, 46556 in Ron's name.
