Louise and family, My sincere condolences on your loss. From the first time Rich came to Calgary we had an instant friendship. His easy-going manner and incredible knowledge were such an inspiration to me. A proud husband, father and grandfather, he often shared with me all kinds of activities his family was doing. Whether it was a granddaughter’s beautiful artwork, or one of the grand kids playing in the school band. I always enjoyed when he shared these things with me. Rich will be missed. I didn't have a lot of interaction with Rich, but every time I did he was the perfect gentleman. He accepted if I wasn't very technical and always put things into lay mans terms for me. He also took time to help. He was always talking positive and made you feel good about your life. He never used a harsh word for anyone. He was the kind of person that we should all aspire to be. God Bless him and his family.

I am so sad to see this. I really enjoyed listening to his stories out by the fire at his daughter’s house and listening to him talk about camping and the great outdoors. He inspired me to get outside more and take my family on similar adventures. His personality was warm and inviting and good to be around. He will be missed by so many. Prayers to the family.
