Reese had an infectious laugh and gave the best hugs. He had a genuine love for everyone he met and would happily jam and share his love of music with all. He was well-known in the blues community and played with many local bands as the lead singer and harp player. These bands included Whammer Jammers, Nothin’ Fancy, Blues on Fire, and his current bands, Blues Chronicles and Black & Coe. He was a die-hard Cleveland baseball fan and loved to attend the games with his wife, kids, and grandkids. Reese proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Navy.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mission 22, a charity near and dear to Reese’s heart. He began prepping and training to walk the Appalachian Trail to raise awareness of Veteran suicide prevention but then Covid hit and sidelined his plan.
A “Celebration of Life” will be announced at a later date.
