This is a Facebook post that I put on my page for Norma and my wife Eva. They had the most special of connections that anyone could have with another person here on Earth.
I know we have some great, close friends but over the weekend Eva Blasczak really lost her Earthly Angel. Her name was Norma and she was definitely the one person in which Eva could confide everything to her, trust her completely and just hearing her voice on voicemail would instantly brighten Eva's day!
I would call Eva on the way home from work on the cell phone & she wouldn't answer... then I would try the landline phone and Eva would answer saying that she was talking to Norma. I knew she was the priority and quickly told Eva when I would be home. Sometimes she would still be talking to Norma when I arrived home 30-40 minutes, even an hour later!
At home it was the same thing... when Norma called, I would say to Eva, "maybe I'll see you later?" She would talk and talk and talk with her! I would go upstairs and peek my head in the doorway to see if she was really still talking to Norma... and she was!
Norma was also my Angel... she was my helper. Whenever Eva struggled with something or just needed a "pick-me-up", I would turn to her and know that Eva would have the guidance she needed.
Even though Eva and I love each other immensely, I appreciate everything Norma did because a spouse can only help so much and I think we all need an Angel like Norma to talk to.
Eva did talk on the phone to Norma in the hospital and we were hoping to maybe make a visit to cheer her up. But God took her peacefully over the weekend on Sept. 30th. She was 72.
Norma was so happy to learn that we had a Hummingbird feeder and that was her favorite bird. A few years back she gave us a Hummingbird Prayer that said when you see a Hummingbird, think of me! Believe me, we will for sure now! Every Spring when they are supposed to arrive in Ohio, we would read the prayer and cry because we love our little birds but also love the Norma had for us and God's creatures!

Sending my sympathy and prayers to the family and loved ones. Norma ( I called her Mom) was a beautiful person with a loving heart. She was a very special lady, I loved her from the first day I met her many years ago. She always made me smile and laugh. I have many fond memories that I will cherish forever. Heaven has a new angel.
