Mary Annette Galek “nee Pawlik”

age 86 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025.

Mary is preceded in death by Donald, her beloved husband of 56 years.

Devoted Mother of Laura (Ron) Dziak, Paul (Mary), David, Jeanette (Mark) Goldstein, Linda (Henry) Lagunzad, Karen (Joe) Grecol, Cheryl (Brian) Haas, Donald (Melissa), Jennifer (David) Adkins, and Shawn (Lisa).

Loving Sister of Gene (Mily) Pawlik.

Cherished Grandmother of 42, and Great-grandmother of 17.

Beloved Aunt to Eric and Valerie.

Mary’s Family and her Faith were the most important things in Mary’s life. A long-time member of Mary Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, she was devoted to attending services and participating in many of the church’s programs and organizations, including the Ladies Guild and Women of Faith. She loved attending the Brook Park Senior Center events, belonged to the Red Hat Society at one time, volunteered at the food bank, and was supportive of various organizations. She joined many clubs throughout the years and met many good friends along the way. She was an avid reader; she could go through 2 or 3 books in a week and could always count on her if you needed someone to play cards or a board game with. Mary was very proud of her large family and loved spending time with them. She never missed a birthday, sending cards that she may have colored herself. She loved being a part of all family parties and never forgot to bring her chocolate chip cookies to the party.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Mary’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd, Brook Park, 44142 on Wednesday, June 25 from 5-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church 6455 Engle Road Brook Park Ohio 44142, on Thursday, June 26 at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
