Alferink, Mary Ann (nee Zupancic), age 60 of Brook Park passed away peacefully on December 18, 2016, while surrounded by family. Mary Ann is survived in life by Robert, her beloved husband of 41 years. Loving mother of Robert Jr. (Lisa) and Amanda. Dear sister of Anthony Jr. (Theresa) Zupancic. Cherished grandmother of Lily and Julia.

Member of the Church Choir at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Mary Ann’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd., Brook Park, 44142 on Thursday, December 22nd from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, 6455 Engle Rd., Brook Park on Friday at 10 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Mary Ann's passing. She was one of the sweetest people on earth. A truly beautiful person in body mind soul and spirit. I was blessed to know her as a parishioner of assumption of Mary church and her tremendous Christian spirit radiated love kindness and charity to all she met. She was a devoted and loyal member of the choir with a beautiful singing voice and was a cantor as well. She was also talented in art and made her own Christmas cards every year, absolutely gorgeous creations, each year more beautiful than the last. I have saved them all. Mary Ann's radiant and loving presence will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to Bob and her family. May God give you strength, peace and consolation at this dreadful time and as her birthday approaches as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you, God bless you.
