Louise Beatrice Palmer (Nee Wreden) passed away peacefully December 26, 2020. She will be forever cherished by her beloved husband James of 65 years; her loving children Robert (Annette) Palmer, Barbara Palmer, and Russell (Karen) Palmer; her grandchildren Brenda (Jared) Norris, Jessica Jackman, Jay (Carolyn) Palmer, Katelyn (Ryan) Hayes, Ally (Alex) Crawford and Justin (Fiancée Erin) Palmer; and her great grandchildren Ashton, Alexa, Karstin, and Kamryn. A private family service was held. A celebration of life service to be announced at a later date.
Louise was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania but grew up in Cleveland. She graduated from James Rhodes High School in 1954. She liked to gamble and hit the jackpot when she met and married Jim, her husband and best friend for over 65 years.
What she cherished most was her family, and they all benefitted from her endless love. She was an incredible wife and mom. She will always be remembered for being an amazing cook and for the annual Thanksgiving dinners that she prepared for the entire family. The peanut brittle she made at Christmas and potato salad in the summer were always looked forward to and enjoyed.
She and Jim loved to travel, especially by car. They enjoyed many cross country trips. She also enjoyed drinking White Zinfandel, watching “her boys” (the Cleveland Indians) and game shows (you always knew where she was during The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune), and playing cards (especially a game called Hungarian Rummy, which she hardly ever won, but loved anyway).
Anyone who knows Jim knows his favorite saying, “My wealth is my family”. Every time he said it, everyone knew it all started with Louise.. A rare woman indeed who will be greatly missed. Lives are better because she was in them.
