Brown, Kevin James, age 52 of Brook Park, passed away suddenly on August 23, 2013. Kevin is survived by Jean M (Nee Holz), his beloved wife of 24 years. Loving father of Shawna (Matt) Layne and Michael; step-father of Robert Albertson; Dear brother of Marie (Robert) Williams, Linda (Harold) LaClair, Allan (Karen), Marlene (Joel) Kellogg, Sandy (Stan) Lamay and Diane (Calvin-deceased)Norton; Cherished grandfather of Jared, David, Annie, Emma and Isaac; Veteran US Army. Kevin was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved nature and was at peace when he could immerse himself in the outdoors.

The family will gather in celebration of Kevin's life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd. Brook Park on Tuesday August 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. where Funeral Services will be held at 7:30PM.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. My deepest sympathy to his family, thinking of you during this difficult time. I saw Kevin each day as we drove fork trucks around at work. He'd pass by and play his air guitar! Always made me laugh :) I'm sure he's fishing (and maybe playing his guitar) right now!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Kevin's family. I worked with Kevin at GM years ago and just wanted to say what a good person he was. I know he will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Kevin is my baby brother. He will be missed by all of us even though I only talked to him once or twice a year. When we did talk on the phone it was for hours. I will miss his funny wit. Love to Jean and all his family.

Kevin was my youngest brother. He was the baby of the family. My daughter, Shelly and I visited Kevin and Jean a year ago at their home. Kevin could always make me laugh. I will miss him very much. Jean always remember that he no longer has his health issues. He is now with our heavenly father. I love you Jean, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kevin was my uncle (though he was only 4 years older than me, go figure! :) I remember the days when I was a kid when we would visit up in Winthrop and he showed me how to play this new game. It was football,and you set your players up, plugged it in, and they all vibrated all around (a long way from today's X-Box!) He also took me swimming once in a stream near the house (I told him I wasn't a good swimmer) so he told me to just swim holding a basketball. Well, it wasn't long before the basketball popped out of my arms and I started to go under... But there was Kevin pulling me to shore and telling me not to say anything to Grandma... RIP Kevin!

I worked with Kevin at GM and found out only today that my daughter Michelle is friends with his son Mike. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. He will be missed.
