JOHN R. VRSANSKY, 80, died peacefully Sept. 1 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Leona “Lee” (Stringer) for 60 years. Loving father of Cynthia (Rick) Schulz, John Jr. (Zsuzsa), Joseph, Tama (Jeff) Burke, and Lora Edwards. Dearest “Poppy” of grandchildren Nichole (Wayne) Plowman; Kale (Sarah), Noelle, Juliet, and Trent Schulz; Leah, Shannon, Jeffrey, and Kevin Burke; and Jaret Edwards; and “greats” Lucas and Adelyn Schulz; Anna and Aaron Plowman. Son of the late Martin and Magdalena (Kostek) and stepson of Mary (Safcak). Youngest brother of Josephine (Merle, deceased) Meredith, and the late Michael (Lois), Mary (William) Stuchal, Alexander (Betty) Martin, Irene (Joseph) Zlockie, and Anthony (Doris). Dear uncle and friend of many. Veteran U.S. Army. Family will receive friends at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd., Brook Park, Monday, Sept. 9, 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Sept. 10, 10 a.m., St. Thomas More Church, 4170 North Amber Dr., Brooklyn. Burial following at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
