Polt, John age 92 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2015 while surrounded by family; John is survived in life by Catherine “Katy” (nee Arbore) his beloved wife of 72 years; Loving father of Catherine “Kitty” (James) Kennedy and John (Pamela) Polt III; Cherished grandfather of James (Susan) Kennedy, Christopher (Kimberly) Kennedy, Brian (Marina) Kennedy, Jennifer (Neil) Potoczak and John (Brittany) Polt IV; Great grandfather of 11; Great-great grandfather of 1;
Veteran U.S. Army – WWII, Member of VFW Post 6676 and American Legion Post 610;
The family will receive friends in celebration of John’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd, Brook Park, on Thursday, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Rd., 44142 on Friday at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
