Barilla, John M., age 75 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on February 21, 2011. He leaves behind Rita M. (nee Copeland), his beloved wife of 55 years. Loving father of Susan Sampson, Judith (Jack) Woodards, Mark (Jeanne), and Kathy (Steve) Kisel. Dear brother of Elizabeth (Russell-deceased) Clysta, Susan (Richard) Talpas, and Michael. Cherished grandfather of 14. Great grandfather of 3.

The family will receive friends in celebration of John's life at the Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park on Thursday February 24th, from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Friday at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Dear Barilla Family, I just wanted to offer my sincere condolences for your loss. Although this is a very difficult time may you find solace and peace in the loving arms of family and friends. I recently lost someone I held dear and what I found to be a great source of comfort were the passages found at John 5:28,29 which speaks of the resurrection hope as well as Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death forever.
