John Anthony Lemmo

Date of Death: March 4, 2012

John Anthony Lemmo lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by his family Sunday, March 4th. He was born March 10th 1959 in Cleveland OH. John grew up in Willowick and after graduating moved to Denver Colorado before returning to Brook Park where he resided from 1983 until his death. He worked at Penske Truck Leasing for the past seventeen years.

John's favorite pastime was golf, spending time with family and friends, but his greatest passion was his love of Jazz and playing his drums. John truly touched all of our lives with his fun loving spirit that we thought our love and prayers could have saved. We will remember you always and miss you forever.

John is survived by his wife Shelli (Marcinko) Lemmo whom he married July 8, 2010; loving children Leah Lemmo of Brook Park and Nicholas Lemmo of Colorado Springs; sisters Barbara Roberts, Grace Giangiacomo (Dennis), MaryAnn Slattery and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Sylvia Lemmo; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Roberts and Jack Slattery.

Many thanks to Cancer Centers of America in Chicago and Hospice of the Western Reserve for helping John and his family through this very difficult time.

Family will receive friends at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park, on Saturday March 10, 2012 from 2:00PM – 6:00PM.

I am so sorry for your lose. You dont know me. I hung out with johnny When he was about 16-18. I lived in eastlake. Not to long ago He entered my mind and I was going to do a search to see how he as doing. From the picture dosen't look like he had changed much. My thoughts go out to the entire family. To the extended family of John Lemmo, It was with a very sad heart that I learned of John's passing in today's paper. I send my most sincere condolences and prayers to all of John's family. I had the pleasure of working with John during his career at Penske Truck Leasing. John was someone who would always get things done for me. When customers had an emergency or an issue that needed timely diligence, and I would call or visit the service desk...I always hoped that I would find John. It was at that time I knew the customer was going to get excellent service. One time John asked that I join him in his golf league somewhere out in Richfield off 303, and I took him up on his offer. We had some good laughs. I will never forget it. Thanks John. I really enjoyed working with John and seeing him laugh and smile. He will truly be missed.
