English, James P. age 82, of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2012. Born in Cleveland on July 2, 1930 to the late Richard and Ruth (Nee Merrit); James is survived by Helen (nee Conway) his beloved wife of 58 years; Loving father of Mary Jane Slempa (Dave), Richard, James, Kathleen (Jack) Meyer, Joanne (Mike) Duke, Bernard and Susan. Dear brother of Linda and the following deceased: Janet, Richard, Deborah, Audrice “Vivian” and Patrick; Cherished grandfather of Michele (Chuck) Clerc, Jimmy, Dan, Adam, Amanda, Jacob and Great grandfather of Lauren. Veteran US Army Korean War.

The family will receive friends in celebration of James's life at HUMENIK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 14200 Snow Rd. Brook Park on Wednesday September 19th from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen of Apostle Church, 6455 Engle Rd., Brook Park on Thursday at 9:30AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Dear English Family, I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences at this time. Something that I have found to be a great source of comfort are the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28,29 where we see that there is going to be a resurrection of those who have died. Also at Revelation 21:4 we see that God is going to eliminate all of the causes for why we deal with sorrow,pain and even death itself. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts bring your family comfort at this time. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.
