JAMES “JJ’ JOHNSON, age 73 entered into heaven June 24, 2019 while surrounded by family. Jim is survived in life by Nancy, his beloved wife of 51 years. Dearest father of Dawn (Ray) Arcuri, Kristen (Gary) Sperling, Joseph (Becky), Karin (deceased) Brian (Dana), and Beth (John) Moretti. Cherished Grampa of Nichole Crase, Melissa (Luke) Andrews, Michael (Taylor), Anthony, Alex, Ryan, Lexa, Evan, and Cailan. Precious Pappa of Julie, Troy, Allison, Danny, Landon, Vinny, and Levi. Dear brother-in-law of Mildred Wydick and James (Kathy) Boomer. Special uncle of many.
Veteran of the US Air Force Viet Nam War.
Jim retired from the Bureau of Workers Comp after 30 yrs. as Auditing Supervisor. He coached CYO sports and was a board member and coach of the West 130th Tri-League for many years. Jim was a great friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends in celebration of JJ’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd Brook Park, 44142 on Thursday June 27th from 3-5 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Church 14040 Puritas Ave, Cleveland, OH 44135 on Friday at 11 AM. For those who wish, the family suggests contributions to the charity of your choice in JJ’s name.
