Gilbride, James Bernard age 89 of Cleveland.  James is preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty (Nee Sarske).  Loving father of Larry (Alexis-deceased), James (Mary-deceased), and Barbara (Daniel-deceased) Andrews.  Devoted grandfather of Daniel (Katharine), Jim, and Marie.  Cherished great-grandfather of Jacob, Kevin, Giavonna, John, Samuel, and Devlin.  Dearest Son of Edward and Agnes O’Malley (both deceased).  Dear brother of Rosemary (John-deceased) Humenik, Helen (Robert-deceased) Munshower, Maurice-deceased (Eileen), Leo (Marilyn-deceased), and the following deceased: Nelson (Lois), Edward, Rita (John) Cestaric, and Agnes (Bill) Flaherty;  Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews and friend to many.

Member of American Legion Post 703 Parma Hts. A U.S. Navy Veteran who served on the Destroyer U.S.S. Quick for 3 years sea duty between 1943-1946. Their duty was part of an anti- submarine convoy that crossed the Atlantic Ocean 26 times and that’s where he learned the power of prayer. After victory in Europe the U.S.S. Quick was refitted and converted to a high speed mine sweeper. He had served off the coast of Japan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends

The family will receive friends in celebration of James’ life at the HUMENIK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 14200 Snow Rd., Brook Park on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9 to 11AM where Memorial Services will be held at 10:30AM.  Inurnment at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, OH.
