Houghtlin, Irene Mary (nee Novak) age 84 of Berea, passed away peacefully November 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by Jack her beloved husband of 62 years. Loving mother of Theresa (William) Krueger, Richard (Arla Jeanne), Joan Faus, Dona (Thomas) Luke, Denise (Stephen) Kaspick, Andrea (Neil) Ross. Dear sister of Rosalie (Gerald) Hill, James (Evelyn, deceased), Mary Ann (Ken) Schrembeck, George Jr (Virginia, deceased), and Thomas (deceased). Cherished grandmother of 15. Great grandmother of 20.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Irene's life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park, from 5-8PM on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Church 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park. Interment will be private. Everyone please meet at the Church.

To all the Houghtlin Children, Your Mom was a Special person to ALL of us! And she will be greatly missed. Irene had the biggest heart full of kindness and love. My entire family has the most fond memories of both your Mom and Dad. We know loss in our family and I can fully understand what you are all going through, just know her pain is gone and she is with your father right now and loving every minute of it. She is smiling down on all of you right now and feeling bad that you are all so sad, but she is happy. I know she is hugging my brother right now. I feel it! So in your memories, remember the great times, her laugh, her smile, because they were all electric! Our hearts are with you!
