Chester, Fred L., age 91 of Fairview Park, passed away on August 14, 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of Joan (nee Soiberg). Father of Le Ann, Beverly, and Step Father of Barbara Bell of Reynoldsburg, OH. Dear brother of Jack (Rose Mary), Jeannie Mercik, Robert (deceased), and Dorothy (deceased). Cherished grandfather of 6. Veteran US Army – WWII.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Fred's life at the Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:45AM. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Dear Chester Family, I am so sorry for your loss please accept my sincere condolences at this time. Something that i personally have found to be a great source of comfort is the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28,29 where we see that there is going to be a resurrection of those who have died. Also at Revelation 21:4 we see that God is going to eliminate all off the causes for why we deal with sorrow, pain and even death itself. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts bring your family comfort at this time. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.
