Erich is preceded in death by his loving parents Josef and Johanna (nee Herm); He leaves behind Terri, the mother of his children; Loving father of Lindsey, Heather and Alicia; Dear brother of Rick and Mary; Cherished grandfather of Samuel, Hailee, J.J. and another on the way; Friend to many;

The family will receive friends in celebration of Erich's life at the HUMENIK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 14200 Snow Rd. Brook Park on Sunday January 19, 2014 from 1-5PM where a Funeral Service will take place at 5PM. A Private Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

I can still remember the first time I met/spoke with Erich. He came to fill out an application and when he spoke, I looked at him and asked if he had a brother! His voice was exactly like his brother Rick. I knew then that he was a good man and would be an excellent employee. He did not prove me wrong on either count. Erich was kind, considerate, always positive and he will be greatly missed. I always knew he would make me smile. Rick, you can be so very proud of the man he had become. He spoke so highly of you and your relationship now. Never forget how much he loved you and what a huge positive influence you were on him. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through these very difficult days. My deepest condolences to all your family and know that you are in my thoughts. God bless
