age 80 longtime resident of Brook Park, passed away January 23, 2022. Emil is survived in life by Barbara (nee Karecki), his beloved wife of 52 years. Devoted father of Emily and Eric. Loving brother of Bill (Sylvia). Dear uncle of Mark (Shannon), Max, and Ben.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Emil’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd Brook Park, 44142 on Friday January 28th from 3-7PM, where Funeral Services will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM. Private Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

Dearest Barb, Emily and Eric - although we are miles apart, our many years of friendship and great memories will keep Emil alive. And what memories we have: late nite coffee at Manner's after Church Council meetings (led by Pres Emil, we were honored to serve under him), breakfast at Denny's after Sunday worship (we would eat quickly so we were home in time for the Browns kickoff), many New Year's Eve celebrations, lively Escanaba discussions (tempered with adult beverages), Polish Picnics in your back yard, and Stash toilet decorating and delivery for special occasions. What touched us most recently were Emil's kind visits with George when he was in ICU - Emil was kind, compassionate, and - funny! There is a very special star in the night sky, and his name is Emil - he will continue to care and watch over all of us. With love, George and Donna Behrend
