It's always so hard to accept losing someone we love. I'm so sorry for the sadness and grief you and your family are feeling. May Our Dear Lord bless you and your family with peace, comfort. and strength for all the days to come. Keeping Emil, you and your children in my prayers......

Dearest Barb, Emily and Eric - although we are miles apart, our many years of friendship and great memories will keep Emil alive. And what memories we have: late nite coffee at Manner's after Church Council meetings (led by Pres Emil, we were honored to serve under him), breakfast at Denny's after Sunday worship (we would eat quickly so we were home in time for the Browns kickoff), many New Year's Eve celebrations, lively Escanaba discussions (tempered with adult beverages), Polish Picnics in your back yard, and Stash toilet decorating and delivery for special occasions. What touched us most recently were Emil's kind visits with George when he was in ICU - Emil was kind, compassionate, and - funny! There is a very special star in the night sky, and his name is Emil - he will continue to care and watch over all of us. With love, George and Donna Behrend

We are sorry for the loss of Emil. So glad we got to meet him at Thanksgiving. He is in a better place and being welcomed by those who went before. Still, you will miss him a lot. A good man. Jim spoke highly of him.

We are so sorry for your loss, Barb, Emily and Eric. It saddens us knowing we will no longer see Emil riding his mower with a smile & a wave. He sure loved that mower!
