Mrs. Rakovec was like my second Mom!!! I love her so much! Living right across the street while growing up, looking back, she was pivotal in my formative years. Being invited inside the house was a very special treat for me and sitting down at the kitchen table was even more remarkable! But, I always wondered why she would eat RAW hamburger meat! And she DID! I joined this family to go to their Catholic church the day that President Kennedy was shot. Playing in their garage all day with my BFF, Jeanne filled my summer days with such fabulous memories! Then she went to work at Hansen Mfg. with my Mom. And she was my Mom's best friend and true confidant. Oh, the reunions that she's having now in heaven must be magnificent! I'll see you again for ALL of eternity Mrs. Rakovec! You live on in my heart and always will!!!
