Ellison, Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann (nee Hand), age 79, of Brook Park passed away peacefully on September 12, 2012. Betsy is survived by Robert, her beloved husband of 60 years; She was born in Cortland, New York to John and Maria (nee Mitchell) Hand. Loving mother of Linda (Greg) Schultz, Don (Jean), Lori (Kevin) Mokosh, Darrell (Janet) and Daniel (Kim); Dear sister to James (deceased); Cherished grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 13; Member of American Legion Auxiliary Brook Park Unit 610

The family will receive friends in celebration of Betsy's life at the Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park, on Saturday, September 15th from 5-8PM where Memorial Services will be held at 8PM. For those who wish, the family suggests contributions go to Hospice of The Western Reserve, Ames Family Hospice House 30080 Hospice Way Westlake, OH 44145

We were so sorry to learn of Betsy's passing. I would like to talk to one of her children if possible. We live in Southold,NY and I spent several summers in Sag Harbor,NY with Sis and Bob when the older kids were very young. We would go crabbing and then brought them home and cooked them. She was a wonderful cook and canned many different foods. Our sincerest condolences to all the family. Please contact me at my email address.
