Duane Walter Doty age 83 was born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 1, 1935 to his beloved parents Clifford Mead and Myrtle Addline (Nee Holden) Doty, both deceased and devoted step-father George Edward Bertch (deceased). On Sunday, September 23, 2018 Duane passed away peacefully in his sleep with his daughter by his side. Duane is survived in life by his loving daughter Nicole Elizabeth and son-in-law Michael Gregory Misconin. Cherished grandfather of Zee Lee (Stephan), Rebecca Ann, Ryan Michael and Joshua Michael. Dearest brother of Robert Charles (Thelma Marie deceased) (Gerri), Eugene Clifford (deceased) (Shirley Marie) and Allan James (deceased) (Rosemary Matilda). Duane served in the United States Air Force. He was known for his love of classical music, his smoking pipes and his love of coincidences, trivia and play on words. One of the last posts Duane posted on Facebook was “You can be upset because rose bushes have thorns or you can be happy that thorn bushes have roses”. He will be forever missed. Rest in peace dad.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Duane’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd., Brook Park, 44142 on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 6-8PM where a Funeral Service will be held at 8:00PM. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
