Though we weren't together, we did share a beautiful daughter. We were friends and Butch and I cared about your welfare. We are so very sorry that you suffered so the last month's and pray you are at peace. We will meet again.

My sister Chris took Shirley Doug and I to visit Duane September 20 in Cleveland. It was a real blessing to see him again. His mind was as sharp as ever. I asked him to speak some Chinese as he was an interpreter in Air Force. He spoke it easily and also added some German. I have fond memories of when he lived with us in our finished basement apartment in Comstock Mi. This was after he returned from Air Force. He introduced my sister Rosanne and I to classical music and classical books, took us to Planeterium and other outings. We love you Uncle Duane

I want to express my sympathies to Uncle Duane’s family. I’m so glad that he was able to come live near you, Nikki and your family. Your dad was intelligent and humorous. He will be missed, I will miss him. I have fond memories of him when he was younger and that bachelor Uncle. May your heart heal and hold memories of your father. Love April
