Kearney, Dorothy L. (nee Russell), age 87 of Middleburg Heights, went to the Lord on Wednesday May 18, 2011, while surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her beloved parents Thomas H. and Josephine C. (nee Vamos). Dorothy leaves behind James, her beloved husband of 62 years. Loving mother of Russell (Maribeth) and Diane (Ray). Dear sister of Evelyn Ellis (Edmund-deceased) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Cherished grandmother of Amanda (John), Brittany, Adam, Alyssa, Halle, and Ryan. Dear cousin of Raymond Russell. Aunt and friend to many.

Dorothy was a church organist at several catholic parishes for many years. She loved her family, music, and beloved pets. For those who wish, the family suggests contributions to Hospice Services of Southwest, 18659 Drake Road, Strongsville, OH 44136.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Dorothy's life at the Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park OH, on Monday from 3-5 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Tuesday at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
