Whitticar, Donald E. Sr., age 87 of Brook Park passed away peacefully on February 4, 2015 while surrounded by family. Donald is preceded in death by his son David Michael and Margaret R. (nee Sheridan), his beloved wife of 67 years; Loving father of Donald Jr. (Christine), Robert J. (Cheryl), Michael D. (Anne) and Donna Spurgeon; Dear brother of Rose Lewis and Robert (deceased); Cherished grandfather of David, Sean, Allyson, Lindsey, Kristen, Nicholas, Sofie, Zachary, Danielle, and John Patrick;
Veteran U.S. Navy – WWII, Member of American Legion Post 610 and VFW, Cuyahoga County Rabbit Breeders Association, and a proud Union Carpenter. Goodbye, old warrior.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Donald’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd, Brook Park, on Friday, from 2-4 & 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen f the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Rd., Brook Park on Saturday at 9:30AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
