PIERPOINT, Dolores Jean (Gazda Braun), age 87, left this world on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, in Strongsville, Ohio. She spent her last hours surrounded by her family and passed peacefully after a long and well-lived life. She was born and raised in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and graduated from Rostraver High School in 1954. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio and first worked as a comptometer operator. She married her first husband, William J. Braun, in 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio and they raised three children before his death in 1983. She later married Roy Pierpoint and they were together for 32 years until his death in 2019. She retired from American Greetings. She leaves behind many who will miss her strong will and determined spirit, her willingness to help others, her love of cooking and baking, and her unfailing and ever-present love for her family.

She was the devoted mother of Robert (Lynne), Kimberly, and Keith (Sue) Braun, loving grandmother of Nathan (Kaylie), William (Katie), Mary and Rebecca Braun, Paige and Maddie Braun, and Kali Fleming. Great-grandmother of Mia and Avery. She will be greatly missed by numerous other relatives and friends, especially her nephew Kevin, who was very helpful and supportive in her last years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands William J. Braun and Roy Pierpoint, her parents, John and Rose Gazda, her daughter Kimberly, her brother John, and her sisters Virginia and Beverly.

The Family will receive friends in celebration of Dolores’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel at 14200 Snow Rd, Brook Park, on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 4-7:30 PM, where Funeral Services will be at 7:30 PM. Burial at Lakewood Park Cemetery will be private.
