Cristina Susong Virola, 53, was called home to our Heavenly Father on February 23, 2019.

Cristina was born to Frances A. and Angelo T. Virola, in Cleveland, Ohio on August 6, 1965. She was the youngest child from this union, a beautiful bundle of energy and delight the whole family loved.

She enjoyed her school years and excelled as a cheerleader for Mount Pleasant Elementary School. She continued her education and earned her diploma on her own which displayed her personal pride for completion. She loved shortening her name to Cris, she figured why waste time saying extra syllables when you didn’t have to.

She became a mom at a young age and with the strength that instilled in her soul she proved to herself and family that motherhood was not an obstacle, but a state of pride.

Cris loved to have fun and was definitely the life of the party. It never failed, at any family event she was definitely the one to watch and have a good time with. She loved taking pictures and ever ready to shine and pose for the camera. Halloween had become a newly favorite holiday, as she truly enjoyed dressing up and having a total ball with the characters she portrayed.

Cris is preceded in death by her mom, Frances A. Virola. She is survived by her father, Angelo T. Virola (Christine); her sons Will L. Page (Jenni) and Allante D. Riggins (Akarra); her daughters Arisia J. Riggins (Andre), Alyssa S. Riggins (Fred) and Adora C. Riggins; her grandchildren Tiara and Sophia Page, Addisyn and Mariah Kistler, Arielle and Juliano Moore, Allen Walker, Alana Bushelon, Akira and Allius Riggins; her sisters Michelle Brooks (deceased Wil), Angelita Virola Bostick (Brian), Luzselenia Virola and Lita Sanchez; her brothers Conrado Virola (Latrice) and Sebastiano Virola (Patrice) and many nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family and friends.

Mami I loved you so hard and I will continue to carry out the matriarch position you always said that I would have too. I am very blessed to have had a mother like you and proud to be your daughter. You have prepared me for every obstacle there is on this earth. However, this is the hardest blow I ever had to take. I know there are rough days are ahead, I just know that I tried hard for you to know you were loved and appreciated. I will miss you and focus on all the good times we shared. Until I see you again I will love and protect our unit like I know you would want me too. Your #1 daughter, Jazz Monroe

It is said that drops of rain is allowed so you can appreciate the coming of the sunshine. My thoughts and sincere prayers go out to the Virola family. I've only met Cris on a couple of occasions. But her energy and vibrant spirit caressed your soul when you were around her. As we mourn our sister, the tears we shed today, is going to allow us to appreciate her love and joy and spirit to shine in us as she is remembered.

Saying good bye to my beautiful younger sister was not in the plans for me. However, God has chosen Cris to start her journey with Him now. I do have the pleasure of knowing that Cris is at home with our Mother and that we shall be with them in time. Much Love to my nieces and nephews. Ange

I Have Plenty Memories Of My Mommy But What I Will Miss About Her The Most Is Her Calling Me "Mom". That's Been My Nickname For Years & The One Time Were In The Store & She Said "Hey Mom, Come Look At This." The People Looking Like "She Your Mom?" And She Had To Explain To Them "No That's Her Nickname, I'm Her Mother". And They Was Like "Oh Okay". And Lately My Mother & I Would Be Talking About The Lottery Numbers & She Would Tell Me How Close She Was About Hitting The Number & She Said "I'm Cutting Back On The Numbers But, I Hope You Hit Mom." And I Always Told Her "Once I Do Hit, We All Are Going To Be Alright." That Hasn't Change I'ma Still Play & Now I'm Playing For The Both Of Us. I Love You Mommy & This Is Not A Goodbye. I Will See You Later.
