Getty, Craig Allen age 59 of Las Vegas, originally from northeastern Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2017. Craig is a 1975 Graduate of Parma Senior High, 1984 Graduate of Kent State University with a BSN, Registered Nurse of 32 years and Life Member of the NRA.  He enjoyed the comradery of hunting with his family and friends and was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed fantasy football and all of Cleveland’s Teams.  Veteran of  the U.S. Army National Guard. Craig is survived in life by his beloved parents Robert G. and Kezia E. (nee Thompson) Getty of Parma, OH. Loving father of Sarah (Jason) Shine of North Canton, OH and Lisa (Matthew) Greenawalt of Alliance, OH. Cherished grandfather of Wyatt and Haylee who is on the way. Dear brother of Brent, Kevin, Brenda (Michael) Berger, Karen (William) Field, Jean (Jefferey) Krist, John (deceased) and Brian (deceased). Uncle of 9 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews with 2 great nieces who are on the way.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Craig’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Rd., Brook Park, 44142 on Monday, February 20th from 5-8PM where a Funeral Service will take place at 8:00PM.  Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00AM. For those who wish to join us for military ceremonies at the Cemetery, please arrive at the Funeral Home by 9:30AM on Wednesday for departure at 10:00AM.
