JAVOREK (Betty) (nee Hellisz), age 82, entered into rest June 16, 2018, to join her husband Bernie Javorek for their 63rd wedding anniversary and reunite with son little Bernie, parents Mike and Victoria (Scensny), brothers John and Andy, nephew John and niece Gloria Hellisz, and son-in-law Bill Hofmann. She is survived by daughters Rita Hofmann and Rose Ann Kay, son-in-law Jim Kay; granddaughters Theresa Fedor, Laura Davis and Linda Vamvas; great grandchildren Ashlyn, Megan Rose, Tyler and Aiden; niece Gayle Doak and nephews Michael and Rick Hellisz; sister-in-law Dorothy Marusak and numerous Javorek nieces and nephews. She is the prize fighting unofficial patron saint of stubborn Slovaks who scrimped and saved and fought and lost and survived more than she should have had to. She earned the moniker “mean mother” so she could proudly watch both her daughters do all the things she hoped for them–find their way through life and love, graduate from college with honors, succeed in their chosen careers, and travel the world. Thank you Mom–job well done! Now you can nap as long as you want without interruption. Why Because YOU ARE THE MOM, that’s why. Family will receive friends in celebration of Betty’s life on Friday, June 22, from 4-8pm at the HUMENIK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 14200 SNOW RD., BROOK PARK. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, June 23, at 11am at St. Wendelin Parish, 2281 Columbus Rd. at W. 25 St., Cleveland, Ohio. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Private Interment.
