Thomas, Berlin M. “Bunk,” age 72 of Brook Park, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2010. Bunk was born February 8, 1938 to Clair and Maude (nee Hubler) Thomas in Allport, PA where he grew up and met Lydia (nee Ostrosky), his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 52 years. Most beloved father of Jeffrey (Charlotte), Jennifer (Tim) Lewis, and Jessica (Dale) Bishop. Dear brother of Maudie “Sis” (Skip-deceased) Trimble, Frances (Ray) Wild (both deceased, Judy Kolvolchick, Norma (Dale) Mullen, Robbie (Ron) Hugar and Pam (Don) Sunderlan. Cherished “Pappy” will be forever adored by his treasured grandchildren Casey Berlin, Hannah Lydia, and Timothy Joshua. Veteran US Army.
Bunk left a mark on the hearts of all who were blessed enough to have known him. He instilled his values and love of nature in his whole family. He was a selfless giver and was devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Even in death, he gave the gift of life through tissue and bone donation. We will all miss his twinkling eyes and sense of humor.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Bunk's life on Saturday November 6, 2010 at Brook Park United Methodist Church, 6220 Smith Road, Brook Park, OH at 10:00AM, where Memorial Services will be held at 11:00AM
