Mary Rose & Tony left a message on December 3, 2014:
Barb always spoke with pride and joy of her sons, daughter-in-law and family, whom she loved dearly. Barb was such a blessing in my life - always extending herself with an encouraging word and a bright smile - one could sense her smile even via email and phone conversations :-) When she said "call me anytime" she meant it. She carried me through my son's (a US Marine) 2 deployments and my stepson's (a US Sailor) 3 deployments. Our Blue Star Mother's Chapter was her passion, and I believe, her calling. It was my privilege to have known Barb. My husband, Tony, & I are keeping Barb's family in our thoughts, we extend our deepest sympathy and prayers. Mary Rose & Tony Akron OH

Barb was a wonderful person and a great friend. I met her through Blue Star Mothers of America and served with her as a state officer. Her passion was her support of her children and the military. We are all the better for having known Barb. She will be deeply missed.
