Astorino, Anne (nee Anastasia Proukas), 87 years young, who was God's servant on earth, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2012 while surrounded by her family. Anne was born July 13, 1925 to Peter and Olga (nee Kianopoulos) (both deceased). She is preceded in death by Charles P., her beloved husband of 54 years. Loving mother of Jo Anne (Greg) Nally, Jeanne (Steve) Santoro, Jim (Patti) and Joe (Diane); Dear sister of the late Helen Proukas. Cherished grandmother of Brian (Haley), Tony, Andrea, Derek, Jeff, Therese, Dean, Nicholas (deceased), Matt, Phil, Mark, Danny and friend to all. Anne was an artist, teacher of many things, an avid gardener, and an advocate for senior citizens.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Anne's life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park on Monday, July 30th from 4-7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park on Tuesday at 9:30AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family suggests honoring Anne's memory by visiting or performing an act of kindness for a senior citizen. For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC), 3100 East 45th Street, Suite 214, Cleveland OH 44127.
