WHAT’S HOLDING YOU BACK?

In these days of the sound bite, the first thing you probably thought of when you read the title above was, “Click It or Ticket,” the seatbelt law slogan. Okay, so your glass is half empty. What about the first question, “What’s holding you back?” The easy answer to the question is to point at something “out there.” For you, it might be a nagging person in your life. Conversely, it might be something inside, perhaps fear of losing your health care, or more importantly losing your health, period. Fear can be a paralyzing emotion. Fear can, however, be helpful in preserving your safety; namely, that you don’t try to walk a tightrope across the Grand Canyon, or jump out of a high altitude air balloon to free fall at the speed of sound. Perhaps you’ve heard the phrase carpe diem (seize the day). Don’t let whatever is holding you back keep you from enjoying the time you do have. Don’t let the day go by without telling your friends and family that you love them; especially if that’s something you don’t ordinarily do. Visit those relatives you only see at weddings and funerals. Smile more, scowl less. Break the chains of grudges, and be free to “seize the day.” Bring a friend a join us on our next one-day getaway!

Who’s Ready For A Cruise?

Sign up today for a luncheon and sightseeing cruise aboard the Miss Buffalo II. Our adventure begins at the Humenik Funeral Chapel parking lot: boarding at 6:30AM; departure at 7AM sharp, on Thursday August 22nd. Our luxury motorcoach will take us dockside at Buffalo, NY, where we’ll board the ship for lunch at 11:15AM. Our narrated cruise will begin at 12:30PM and conclude at 2:30PM. The tour passes through 3 bodies of water, including passage through the historic Black Rock Lock and Canal. Bring your cameras. Buffalo’s original lighthouse, built in 1833, and Old Fort Erie will be great photo opportunities. On the way home, we’ll be stopping for shopping at the Burch Farms Country Market and Winery; followed by dinner at Hoss’s Restaurant. We’ll be home by 10PM. Don’t miss the boat!
