Geneva-On-The-Lake August 24th 2022

Join us this August as we travel to Geneva –On-The-Lake!! You read that right it is time for a wine crawl in the beautiful Geneva-On-The-Lake located in Ashtabula County. On  August 24th we will be boarding at Humenik Funeral Chapel at 10:30 AM departing promptly at 11 AM. Once we depart we will be on our way to the Old Firehouse Winery for a fabulous lunch and wine tasting. For lunch, we will be having your choice of Chopped Sirloin-1/2-pound Chopped Sirloin topped with onions and Swiss cheese. Baked Beans, Cole slaw, French Fries, Salsa  & Chips, Roll, Chicken Breast Salad (boneless Breast), fries thrown right on top, Roll, or Chicken Breast or Perch Wrap Grilled Chicken Breast in a flour tortilla w/ lettuce, cheese, tomato and Ranch Dressing or Breaded Perch in a flour tortilla, American cheese and, Tartar Sauce. Salsa & Chips, and Cole Slaw. Please include your lunch choice on the trip form. After lunch, everyone will have 1 hour to walk the strip and shop the local boutiques. You never know what you will find. Will you stop at the made in Ohio shop, or maybe stop and get something sweet at Pucker Up Candy Shoppe? Wherever you shop you are sure to find something unique. After shopping it is time to board the bus to travel to our second winery, South River Vineyard. Enjoy the beautiful scenery while trying a wine flight. Wine is on your own at South River Vineyard. Next, we will depart for Debonne Vineyards for a wine cellar tour, and wine tasting. Founded by Anton Debevc, a 1914 immigrant from the Slovenian State of Yugoslavia. The Debevc family was the first winery to be named by Vineyard & Winery Management magazine as “Wine Family of the Year”. Wines from their premium line “Debonne Vineyards” garner awards every year in national and international competitions from California to New York. Lastly, we will travel to Grand River Cellars for dinner and a wine tasting. Dinner will be a choice of half-tender marinated chicken served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, Caribbean vegetables, and the chef’s choice dessert or Pot Roast top with merlot gravy served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, Caribbean vegetables, and dessert.  Please include dinner choice on the trip form. After dinner we will board the bus to return home, we are expected back to Humenik Funeral Chapel around 8:15 PM. The total cost for this trip is $125; which includes travel in a luxury Motorcoach, lunch at Old Firehouse Winery, a guided tour, 4 samples of wine at Debonne Vineyards, and dinner served with wine at Grand River Cellars.
