age 90, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025. Beloved husband to the late Mary for 53 years. Father of Nancy (Tim) Brandes, William Jr. (Iris), Charles, DeAnn Barrett, and the late Phillip.  Grandfather of Melanie (Matthew), Kevin, William III, Robyn, Deana (Joe), Eric (Jessica), Eva, Richard, Mary, Dariana and Marilyn. Great grandfather of 11. Dear brother of the late Charles (Bud), Jean Nawal, Dorothy Wagner, Helen Marucek, Margaret Netzel, and Sue Wisniewski. Uncle and great-uncle to many.

Lifelong Red Cross blood donor.  Army Veteran, Pipefitter Local 120, West Tech Alumni.

He loved to travel with his wife, nationally and internationally.  Organized many bus trips with fellow friends, family, and retirees. Served as President and newsletter distributor for the Local Pipefitters 120 Retirement Club. He was known to bring a smile to your face with a good joke or flying monkey.  Avid Ohio State Buckeye football fan.  Enjoyed puzzles, crafts, a wide variety of music and performed in the Tower City Barbershop Chorus. A Member of the SNPJ bowling league and a Troop Leader for several years for the Cub Scout organization.  Played and coached softball and participated for many years in the St. Ignatius men’s volleyball league.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Bill’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd Brook Park, 44142 on Monday, April 14th from 2-6 PM. Military Honors will start at 5:15 PM, followed by Funeral Services at 5:30 PM.

Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
