age 91, passed away on February 8, 2025. Richard is survived in life by Lois, his beloved wife of 67 years and his children Mitchell (wife Lourdes), Lisa (husband Michael). He was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his grand children Madison, Michael, Mitchel, Lauren and Great Grand Children Dominic and Gianna. Richard attended Our Lady of Good Counsel School and graduated from Holy Name High School.
Richard served in the U.S. Army May 1956 to May 1958 serving within the Psychological Warfare /Artificial Intelligence Unit. As a result of his military service, Richard and his family were so very thankful to have received compassionate care from the Cleveland and Parma Veterans Health Care System. Richard was especially blessed with having Angela as his dearly loved VA Home Health Aide.
Richard was a hard worker as he helped many as owner of Lowther Tire. He was a man of great integrity and enjoyed his time serving within the community. His community involvement was extensive as he served as an officer on the Parma Heights Jaycees, member of Parma Jaycees, Parma Heights Zoning Board (25 years). His community dedication included special projects inclusive of: Easter Egg Hunts, Tree Lawn Trees, Soap Box Derby, Christmas Parade, Safety Seat Belts, Curb Painting, Pancake Breakfast and more. It is through his community service that Richard met many of his cherished life-long friends ~ sharing with them years of countless memories.
His love, kindness and presence will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Richard’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd. Brook Park 44212 on February 16, 2025 from 1- 5 PM, where a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 4:30 PM.
Richard will be buried at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on February 17, 2025
