| The Lord called John home unexpectedly on Friday morning, November 14, 2025. John passed away peacefully and is now rejoicing in Heaven (absent from the body, present with the Lord), where he will never be sick or in pain again.
John’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of the Rae-Ann Nursing and Rehabilitation facility (Westlake, OH) and Sincere Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care John received. We will be forever grateful. Beloved son of Theodore and Aletha Anderson (both deceased). John is survived in Life by Susan, his beloved and precious wife of 36 years. Their marriage was one of deep abiding love filled with joy and laughter. Devoted father of Tyler Anderson and Brian (Karen) Frolo. Loving brother of Judy Cottle (deceased) and Mary Ellen Clark (Joseph, deceased). Cherished and loving grandfather of Timothy Frolo, Rebecca Frolo, Jeremy Frolo, Johnny Frolo, and Danny Frolo. Dear friend of Susan Jeffers, “the other Susan,” grandmother to the Frolo grandchildren. Dearest uncle of Jennifer Cottle, Amy Clark (husband Narinder Walia), and Joseph Clark (wife Deidre Sheffield-Clark). In life, John was a 45-year member of AA, where he frequently spoke at numerous lead meetings and also shared in many discussion groups across Cuyahoga, Medina, and Summit Counties. He was always willing to share his testimony of sobriety and his faith in God, as well as the strength and hope he found by following the AA principles and traditions. John’s gentle wisdom, serenity, and Christian faith brought great comfort to countless numbers of new members and old-timers. John truly believed in giving back because he was so grateful for his sobriety. John, along with his wife, Susan, and their two little dogs, loved to travel in their pick-up truck. Together they visited almost every State east of the Mississippi River as well as Quebec and Ontario, Canada. John was also an avid fisherman and butterfly and moth collector, having begun both hobbies as a youngster. John also loved gardening and planted numerous flowers to attract butterflies, moths, and bees. SHARING MEMORIES 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. The family is requesting all friends who would like to share their memories of John to please be at the Humenik Funeral Chapel by 5:00 on Monday, December 1st.
