Jerad (Jer) Michael James Berry, 34, passed away suddenly on December 17th, 2024 in his beloved hometown of Cleveland. With his bright smile, adventurous spirit, insatiable curiosity, brilliant wit and tenacity, Jerad will be truly missed by many. He is fondly remembered as the person who would go out of his way to help anyone, anytime.

Jerad was born on April 4th, 1990 to his loving mother, Colleen Berry and father, Kurt Filer. He was the older brother to Jacob Joseph Flack and Abbie Filer, as well as an honorary brother to Tai Cheng & Chun Keung Wong. He loved his dogs Chomper, Samantha and Jessy.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Karina Theresa Theresa Dsouza-Berry, with whom he looked forward to sharing a happy future.

Jerad was the loving Grandson of the late Charlotte (Lottie) (Placek) Berry. Nephew of the late, James Allen and Charlene Berry. Godson of James Conway and Kathy Sidari-Newshutz. Cousin of Jimbo, Laura, Tony, Cassidy, Jimmy, Viola, Rhianna and many others. Jerad surrounded himself with so many wonderful friends and was Blessed by such a supportive and loving group. He will be greatly missed by so, so many.

The family will receive friends in celebration of Jerad’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd Brook Park, 44142 on Sunday, December 22^nd from 2-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial  will be celebrated at St.Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 13400 Lorain Avenue Cleveland, Ohio 44111 on Monday, December 23rd at 11:00 AM.
