Arthur Rush (Art), beloved husband of 66 years to Isabelle (Issie) nee Conroy; father of Debbie Baker (Mike), Artie Rush (Sharon), and Sandie Scheall (Bob); Grandfather of nine; great-grandfather of 14 and 1 angel in heaven; brother of Duke Rush (Dorothy), Ralph Rush (Pat) deceased, Ernie Rush deceased (Fran), and Vera Grassi (Dominick) deceased; cherished son of Irene and Ernest Rush deceased. Uncle, Great Uncle, Great Great Uncle and Chosen Family to many.
Art worked for the U.A.W. for 40 years. He was an organizer, recording secretary, and financial secretary for local 70 for 13 years. He was the shop chairman at U.A.W. Local 70 Trabon Unit 1959-1972. Director Bill Casstevens appointed him International Representative 1959-1972. Director Warren Davis appointed him to the Community Action Program 1983-1999 U.A.W. Region 2. He was staff Coordinator I.P.S, council Region 2. Art was a board member for many organizations. Delegate to the National Democratic Party convention in 1984 in San Francisco California. Art loved to sing and play the guitar, banjo, and keyboard. He loved all sports and played baseball, football, and bowling for many years. He played poker in 2 clubs and loved casinos. He hosted many Super Bowl parties and New Year parties. He loved the Cleveland Browns and had season tickets for many years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who was very proud of his family and loved all very much. He was always there for them. Family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, St. Augustine’s Food Bank, or the Cleveland Food Bank.
The family will receive friends in celebration of Arthur’s life at Humenik Funeral Chapel 14200 Snow Rd Brook Park, 44142 on Wednesday January 26 from 3-8 PM, where Funeral Services will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM
