Root, Root, Root for the Home Team…

The World Series, aka The Fall Classic, has been a part of our culture for so long that baseball is called “America’s Pastime.” If it’s at all possible to look beyond the billions of dollars involved in Major League Baseball, it’s a game played by kids on sandlots all across the country. A youth’s first visit to a pro baseball game, is a treasured memory for the rest of his or her life. Plush green grass in alternating light and dark stripes; the smell of hot dogs; the crunch of peanuts and cracker jacks; the shouts of the vendors; and the roar of the crowd are larger than life. In the words to “Take me out to the Ballgame,” we sing our loyalty to the home team. As in baseball, so it is in life; we should root for the home team. If we don’t take care of our own, who will? Humenik Funeral Chapel is proud to be on Brook Park’s “home team” for over 13 years, and for many more years to come.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Hitch a ride with Humenik’s this October 17th when we travel to the clip-clop capital of the world—Amish Country! This time we will be traveling to Volant PA, and spend a leisurely day away from the road rage, texting while driving, and all the stressors of city life. Radiant trees will color our path with the reds and golds of the Fall season. Don’t worry if a piece of furniture catches your eye, many shops offer delivery so you won’t have to squeeze your new rocking chair into the overhead compartment on the bus! The Cheese House, the Miniatures shop, the Apple Castle, bakeries and more will whet your appetite for an “Amish Wedding Buffet” at the Tavern on the Square Restaurant. We’ll be boarding our luxury motorcoach at 6:30AM at the Humenik parking lot and departing promptly at 7.We’ll return by 6:30PM. This trip is sure to fill up fast. Call a friend and register today!
